Lake Ponemah is the heart of a connected chain in Fenton Township, Genesee County. Aanikegamaa Lake (formerly Squaw Lake) and Silver Lake both flow into it, and it connects to Tupper Lake, which is in turn linked to the Shiawassee River.
Lake sizes and depths vary between surveys and with water levels. Treat these figures as a guide.
It has public access on its southeast side, reached from North Road. The lake sits north of Silver Lake Road and west of North Road.
North Road and Silver Lake Road frame the lake area. Within about a mile: the City of Linden, the City of Fenton and the Lake Fenton community. Homes around the lake fall within Fenton Area Public Schools or Lake Fenton Community Schools boundaries. School assignment depends on the exact address, so always confirm it for a specific home.
